Let robots take over: “Sixty Minutes” recently did a segment on artificial intelligence that was as amazing as it was scary. We now have computers that not only talk to each other but are capable of training one another to perform tasks that were never a part of the original study. Needless to say, I’m encouraged that non-humans might one day end up on the Supreme Court, where decisions might be made that are no longer biased nor self-serving.
Simple solution: There is no law preventing a Supreme Court Justice from accepting gifts from friends. If one of these friends would appear before the Supreme Court, the judge would simply need to recuse himself or herself.
Lifetime job for a reason: Perhaps people are unaware that Supreme Court justices are attorneys who have a code of ethics they must abide. They don’t need another set. Also, their appointment is for life because they are to ensure the continuity of the Constitution. The longer in their position, the less arbitrary change will result. That’s the point!
Face the consequences: Our country is facing a constitutional crisis brought on largely by Donald Trump and Clarence Thomas — two underqualified, overachieving lawbreakers who have no regard for rules, regulations or recriminations. It’s about time they face the consequences of their actions so that faith in our democracy might finally be restored.
None of your business: Way to go, Rep. Jim Jordan. Once again, sticking your nose in where it doesn’t belong in New York. You have zero authority there. Are you guys all afraid to just let the process play out and let Trump have a jury of his peers judge him? Now you’re being sued by the district attorney in New York.
Check into Bragg: What’s going on with the Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg? He wants to put a stop to Congress looking into what they were doing and all that. What’s the matter? Does he have something to hide, which it seems like all these Democrats do. They hide and they don’t want to tell the truth. I hope they find the dirt that they need to get Bragg and then it’ll show all these Democrats.
