A 21-year-old Chicago man accused of robbing two drive-thru employees at a Naperville Portillo’s in July 2022 has been charged with felony aggravated robbery, officials said

Solomon Marshall, of the 3400 block of West Fulton Boulevard, was arrested on a warrant Monday in connection with the hold-up at the West Jefferson Street restaurant, a news release from the DuPage State’s Attorney Office and Naperville Police Department said.

Implying he had a firearm in his pocket, Marshall allegedly demanded money from two female employees working the outside drive-thru lanes about 11:30 p.m. July 20 before grabbing their company-issued fanny packs containing about $680, the release said. He also patted down one of the victims to ensure she did not have any additional cash before running away, the release said.

Marshall was arrested on a warrant in Denver and in DuPage County court for the robbery Tuesday, where Judge Joshua Dieden set bond at $100,000.

State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in the release that while Marshall may have not had a real gun, the paralyzing fear that he was armed was real for the employees.

Marshall’s next court appearance is scheduled Feb. 21.
