Yes, I am questioning the South Cook news. It’s a paper that comes out about every week, week and a half. Now the paper I received Nov. 9 was dated Oct. 17 to 22. It has a whole lot of more baloney coming out of Pritzker. I wonder if it’s the newspaper that was late with the paper or the post office that delivers it. It looks like this is a setup to make sure Pritzker didn’t get all this bad publicity.

What a coincidence! After months of delays, property tax bills are miraculously able to start going out the week after the election.

Regarding Powerball and Mega Millions, when winning the jackpot the cash option used to be more than half the jackpot total. It’s less than half. Interest rates are up. Shouldn’t the cash option payment be more not less?

I agree with George, South Side, that the economic and other policies starting in the 1980s with the decline of unions, have hurt non-college educated citizens much more than those with at least a bachelor’s, if not a master’s, degree. However, the explosion of microcomputing technology, which also started in the late 1970s and accelerated in the 1980s and beyond, is as much the cause of this trend.

Homer Glen Village Board approved prayer before meetings. Trustee Dan Fiasco said it lends gravity and is not intended to promote one specific religion. Maybe come up with a village poem or creed to start off each meeting? Wouldn’t that do the same thing? Bringing religion into the mix will make some feel uncomfortable. Are you not concerned about this? Also, just because other towns do this does not justify doing it? It is selfish and wrong.

To Paul of Tinley Park: Consumer Reports has been our Bible. Before our purchase, we checked the refrigerator rating and it was rated very well.

The only way I would vote for J.B. Pritzker as president would be if his opponent was Donald Trump. That’s how we got stuck with Biden. It’s called the anything but Trump vote. How sad.
