I received an unknown newspaper in the mail the other day called the South Cook News. It’s totally pro-Republican, and anti-Democrat. I find this amusing because I am a registered Democrat. Since it’s all things Republican, I can’t understand how they forgot to mention Trump’s dozens of lawsuits and legal woes.

Mike from Orland Park, like many Democrats, compares apples to oranges. Student loans are committed to willingly for an education for future income, their choice. A farmer works hard yet is subject to variables of weather, markets etc. which they can’t control. The government subsidies help smooth peaks and valleys in farming and control production. So, yes, right-wingers can be upset about student loan payments without condemning farm subsidies. We may not need what those college loans produce, but we all do eat.

One of the biggest differences between Republicans and Democrats is Republicans let you make your own decisions in life and be free. Democrats want to control every aspect of your life and you do what they tell you to do. Democrats call that democracy.

M from Oak Forest, you’re missing one vital word in your comment on what you believe Ted Slowik wants. He doesn’t want one biased party ruling the country. Any open minded person should want fair mindedness. The political forecast in our country, where for some pushing a lie is what they do best, continues to be stormy.

Obviously Gov. Pritzker made sure the property taxes weren’t going to be due until after the election, right around after Christmas. So when you’re paying off your Christmas bills and your property tax and you don’t have much money, remember who you voted for?

What a surprise to read a report by Mike Nolan regarding Hastings campaign stating Hastings’ campaign denies attempt to mislead? It’s too late, because I became confused after reading the report that was written by the person, namely Kate Hastings. This was very misleading after reading about their divorce. Throughout the years, Michael Hastings has been known for his generosity for the 19th District. Whoever thought to send up a leather with his ex-wife name on it, their intention was meant to mislead the voters. This is very disturbing to me.
