If the Cubs sign Jose Abreu, I am going to be a Cubs fan. The White Sox should sign Abreu, he is the best player on the team. No, Rich Hahn keeps all the crappy players.

Carol, Chicago

I am confused. How many students and/or Ukrainians do I get to claim as dependents on my income tax this year?

Jim, South Holland

I see where Chicago was voted the rattiest city in the U.S. Well more than likely that’s correct. But after all, you see their politicians, they’re supposed to be that way. Now the rodent that runs around on the ground, why our we picking on him? He didn’t do anything wrong.

John, Bridgeport

I learned Chicago was named the rattiest city. I wonder, were politicians counted among the rats? If so, that could explain the high numbers. The city is infested with vermin of all kinds. Perhaps the next time Chicago has a parade, our elected officials will march with one of those big inflated rats that the union people put up. That would be fitting!

Joan, Oak Forest

Darren Bailey is telling the truth about Chicago. It is a hellhole and a rat hole, animal and human, and from the top down, no one cares. Durban, Pritzker, Lightfoot, Foxx, Brown. They all just keep passing the buck and kicking the can always blaming someone else, saying this has to stop but never does with all of them. It never will. And Pritzker says the governor should work as hard as its people. He hasn’t worked a day in his life.

Terry, Chicago

I’ve been reading in the last several months all the unflattering and downright nasty things many are saying about Gov. Pritzker. To those of you who criticize and dislike him so much, does that mean you’ll be returning your income tax rebate and/or property tax rebate to the state of Illinois on principle? I thought not.

Joni, Palos Hills

Charles Thomas, a former reporter for ABC7 News, has recently done commercials endorsing Darren Bailey for governor. The lead-in indicates independent prior reporting. It fails to mention he was paid $50,000 by a pro-Bailey super PAC for his endorsement. So much for independent reporting.
