Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney are a complete disgrace. Even Kinzinger’s family is disgusted with him and I’m tired of hearing about how Trump lied. What did he lie about? That our financial services would be in peril under the Biden administration? That we would be close to a third world war? That Afghanistan pull out would not be successful under Biden? That our oil supplies, which we have plenty of right here in the U.S., would be in jeopardy and gas prices would skyrocket? That our taxes would go up?

Ted Slowik writes another column hyping the severely partisan Jan. 6 subcommittee witch hunt. When will he write a column on the Democrats abuse of government powers to intimidate political opposition into silence, whether it is those who entered the Capitol peacefully and did no damage, predawn FBI raids on elderly political supporters of former President Donald Trump or heavily armed FBI early morning raids at homes of nonviolent pro-life activists based on year-old charges dropped by local authorities?

The Jan. 6 committee is going to subpoena Donald Trump. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger have to declare themselves Democrats, because that’s exactly what they are. They have to get a hold of what’s going on in this country. You can’t run on a platform of abortion and Donald Trump. I know they want to win these elections on those two issues, but it’s next to impossible. What do you say we take care of the country first and not worry about Trump so much.

After watching all Jan. 6 committee hearings, it is evidently clear Donald Trump was aware he had legitimately lost the election. Despite his loss, he continued to spread his big lie to maintain power and spearheaded an insurrection to overturn a fair election and to further corrupt and undermine our democracy. As a result of the Capitol Hill riot and Trump’s hostile and vindictiveness to not take action, five people needlessly lost their lives.

This is unreal the spat going on between the assessor office and the county’s board of review. Tax bills that should have been sent out are four months late. Therefore, board President Toni Prinwinckle is offering local taxing bodies interest-free loans. This should not have escalated this far. Both branches of government is at fault.
