Thank you, Chicago and other Democratic places, that are all so snooty they don’t really want to help, for finally helping Texas and Arizona with what your president has caused. Why should Texas and Arizona be the only ones burdened to take care of these immigrants.

Rose, Chicago

Why on earth has Boston College developed a new virus combining the original COVID-19 virus with the omricon variant that has killed 80% of the mice tested on? Is this what my tax dollars are paying for? Everyone should be asking why and who’s idea was this?

Linda, Orland Park

David from Tinley Park basically described most politicians and both political parties as having no positive plans other than to support their own special interests, seek personal fame and fortune, and attack their opponents and opposite political party just because that’s the way it is done. This is what American politics has deteriorated and sunk to, and Americans continue to let it happen. If an honest politician surfaces, people need to go out and vote for the person and not the party.

Carl, Orland Park

In Homer Township, the board agreed to sell the farm on Bruce Road to Genesis Land Development for $2.6 million to help fund a community center on Trantina Farm. These lands were bought as for open space. Right now, even after the bid, Genesis Land Development will not return phone calls. This is terrible and the fellow that’s in charge of all this is Steve Balich. He’s up for reelection for the Will County Board Nov. 8.

John, Homer Glen

Professional sports has created a monster problem. By playing too many games in a season, we have baseball with the World Series in November, football in February, basketball and hockey in May. Season playoffs are boring because of paying these players too much money. The owners are to blame.

Mr. G, Chicago

We the people have a brain. What we are seeing in the political ads is nothing but abortion, abortion, abortion while inflation is getting worse, higher food prices, gas going up again, insurance premiums going up along with drug prices, while our 401Ks are going down the tube. Border crisis getting worse, violence in our city never-ending. Rape, incest and a mother’s life is an entirely different story. Please people, vote to change the so-called leaders to folks that care about this country, our city and the people in it.

Ivita, Chicago

Tip of the hat to Monte of Tinley Park for his description of our last president as a pathological, destructive weasel. Maybe Monte would enjoy megalomaniacal, seditious grifter.

George, Calumet City

I don’t want to read or hear any Republican or Trumpster complain about Pritzker’s tax return or any other person’s tax return until Donald Trump releases his tax returns.

Dolly, Homer

While watching a recent football game, my friend asked me who is playing. I said Philadelphia and Dallas. She asked if they have to change their name? No, I said, the woke people have not had time to figure out if cowboys and bird names are insulting and lead to mental illness or some other fantasy they deem important.

M, Oak Forest

I don’t need DraftKings or PointsBet or FanDuel to tell me the Democrats are going down big-time Nov. 8.

Tony, Blue Island

Bill, media propaganda? It is just the truth, as reported on real new sources, corporate, public and independent. You clearly are looped in to FOX, Newsmax, etc., for their propaganda. Listen like I do to a wide variety of sources, plus printed newspapers, and you will be able to make rational decisions.

Paul, Tinley Park

For those undecided midterm voters, if you dare vote Democratic instead of Republican, here’s what you are endorsing. One, more crime and less police. Two, higher taxes. Three, higher gas, food and drug prices. Four, runaway inflation and high interest rates. Five, unsecured country borders and millions of illegals pouring into the country. And six, a real scary potential for escalating World War III. So, are you still on the fence now?

Leo, Orland Park

I read a lot of comments in Speak Out regarding how bad Democrats are, but one thing I never read is that the Democrats tried a coup against the lawfully elected government.

Mark, Orland Park

RHS, I’d rather go down in flames with someone who actually tries to do good than ride a dead horse like Trump. He’s an egocentric, lying, dictator wanna be who doesn’t care about the USA. He only cares about his money and himself. Republicans! Open your eyes already. Are you that blind and stupid?

Bruce, Chicago

Now that midterm voting is underway, I have a few suggestions for Republicans. Don’t vote early! You don’t trust elections anyway, so no sense giving us Dems more time to manipulate the results. Since you know how fraudulent absentee voting is, file your lawsuits now. It’s better to be proactive. If you vote on Election Day, demand a paper ballot. No reason challenging Dominion Voting machines again. You’re already facing multiple defamation charges totaling billions of dollars. Finally, if your candidate loses, never accept the outcome.

Wes, Orland Park

Joe Biden stated there is a fix for inflation that will kick in at the first month of next year. That is when the Republicans will be sworn in and take over the leadership of the House and Senate.

Bill, Plainfield

To Jay of Steger, I would remind you that in your golden years you have Social Security and you have Medicare thanks to the Democratic Party. The Republican Party has always opposed Social Security and Medicare and has done everything they can over the decades to chip away at both programs and to destroy them as much as possible. Please keep in mind that thanks to the Democrats, all Americans who are on Social Security will receive an 8.7% raise in January. Keep that in mind when you go to the voting booth this November.
