In last week’s gubernatorial debate, Republican candidate Darren Bailey tried really hard to make a big deal about his pledge not to run for higher office if he wins. As if he had a chance, anyway. He then demanded that Gov. J.B. Pritzker sign his self-generated pledge. Just wondering, did Bailey ask the same questions of George W. Bush back in 2000? Do you recall that he had two years left to serve in his term as the Republican governor of Texas when he ran for president?

I never hear the Republicans say the election was stolen when Donald Trump won the election. But when Hillary Clinton won by popular votes, why wasn’t the election stolen at that period of time? What can the Republicans say about that?

OPEC has stated that it will reduce its oil production by about two million barrels per day at almost the same time as the Biden handlers announced it will take 10 million barrels from the strategic reserves in order to try to reduce the price of gas at the pump before Election Day. Simple arithmetic says that after about five days, that ploy will have no effect.

So OPEC+ just cut oil production by two million barrels a day. That means the oil that is bought today will be here in November, as these barrels of oil are bought a month in advance. Oil has settled at about $85 a barrel the past month dipping under $80 for about three to four days. So how can oil companies raise prices over 50 cents a gallon for oil that won’t be here for a month? Price gouging at its best.

Due to the fact that I am going to physical therapy in Tinley Park, I have been using the Tinley Park post office to send my mail. In the last three weeks, they have lost multiple pieces of mail. I have contacted the addressee for these pieces as follow up and they were never received. How can use lose something going to Orland Park or other nearby suburbs? They really need to rectify these issues before increasing the price of postage again.
