Are you better off?
What are we getting from this administration? As I read the Talk of the County entries, I cannot help but wonder what the Biden defenders are getting out of this administration that we MAGA “zealots” are not. Does your fuel cost you less than ours? Does your food cost less than ours? Is crime in your neighborhoods nonexistent? No, none of that. You see you made a dumb choice when you cast your vote for this goofy galoot to be president. Everything was better under President Trump. He had no delusions of being a king. He was constantly barraged and fighting against fake accusations by the lying democrats. They are even doing it to Herschel Walker with “some unnamed woman” who is accusing him of paying for an abortion. It just never ends. Well, are you better off today than you were two years ago? The answer is no.
Shocking antics
While attending the Waukegan City Council meeting on Oct. 3, I was shocked at the antics that were allowed during the entire meeting.
A design flaw?
Bloodshed affects all counties, is fueled by substance abuse, anger, ignorance, political or religious beliefs, physical or rarely, real mental illness. Most perpetrators are male. Is there a design flaw? If this is fixed, would there be peace on Earth?
Good grief
To the contributor who mentioned putting “America First”: My husband and I couldn’t agree more. I don’t think these days it matters what party line you lean toward. Born and bred Americans are tired of being pushed aside. We are constantly bending over backward for different nationalities coming to America. You come to America, be an American. If you love where you came from so much, stay there. Don’t come here demanding special considerations or handouts. We are tired of them living off the system that was put there to help our own country’s people first. Good grief, haven’t we been overrun enough already?
Tolerance?
I hate to break it to the activist hothead who disrupted the Waukegan council meeting, but there are residents across all racial groups here in Waukegan who vote for Republican candidates. That’s silly to think that a Republican candidate can’t come here because there is a Democratic senator. We don’t take a litmus test to live in Waukegan. Where’s your tolerance?
Practice birth control
I just received my retirement fund statement and was appalled to see that I had lost over $100,000. This has been a periodic event under our China sidekick, Biden. Everything he does benefits China and his whole family. Yet, our country is obsessed with abortion. That is all the Democrats can talk about. Practice birth control and you won’t have to worry about unplanned pregnancy. Maybe then our country will once again be prosperous and a credible leader in the world.
No tax money

The new proposed football stadium in Arlington Heights should not have to be funded by local taxes or residents’ money. Pro sports and the Bears should pay for their own stadium. If they have millions of dollars to pay players, then they should have money to pay for their own stadium, not the public. This is only a game, and does not produce any type of product that will help the public survive.
A bribe for your vote
These state rebate checks are just another form of paying you to vote for Democratic candidates. Don’t be fooled. They raised your income and property taxes because they claimed the state needed the money, and now they return it? What happened to the unfunded retirement system? Is it suddenly funded? What happened to the state deficit? It’s a bribe for your vote.
