Even if inflation ended immediately, many of today’s prices for necessities are unlikely to come down significantly. Combine that with big company layoffs, a housing market slowdown, record personal debt and consumers cutting back on unnecessary spending. The White House can call it whatever they want, but semantics will not change what is already an economic downturn, which is more than likely to get worse before it gets better.

Maddie of Orland Park: Assume you are watching as abortion mandates are implemented. Legitimate reasons are being eliminated along with accessibility to contraceptives. Like your comment about the police officer, this is about punishment. You want to punish the women but in reality you are punishing the children. They may possibly be born into tragic situations i.e. alcohol or drug using parents. Unless pro-life advocates are ready to step up and adopt these children, it is just as tragic. As you said, a life is a life. Conceivably it could be one child lost for one saved. There has to be a better way to resolve the abortion dilemma. Remember religious zealots didn’t do well with their handling of witches and scholars in history.

What a breath of fresh air seeing Liz Nagy in the 5:00 slot with Alan Krashesky. So natural together, please keep her there.

To Tom of Burbank and his statement regarding you cannot hide. The same goes for people who illegally hold on to Top Secret documents and leave them lying around where any foreign agent could take them

I always tried to watch a morning local news show. I do not want to hear the (anchors’) personal opinions on stories, I do not want to see them dancing in their seats to the background music either. This is my personal opinion.
