West Aurora School District has appointed three new administrators for the new school year to begin in August.

The appointments are Regina Coyle as assistant principal of operations at Washington Middle School, Katherine Renz as assistant principal of Greenman Elementary School and Kyle Freise as director of technology support services.

Coyle has served as an assistant principal in West Aurora School District 129, officials said. Most recently, she served the students and staff of Goodwin Elementary School, where some of her responsibilities included assisting the development of a master schedule, coordinating student assessments and addressing discipline issues.

Prior to her time as assistant principal, Coyle taught fifth and sixth grades in Worth School District 127 for a combined seven years. During that time, Coyle also worked as an adjunct professor in the music department of Saint Xavier University.

Coyle began her educational career as a science instructional coach at William H. Brown Elementary School in Chicago.

Renz has served as the assistant director of the deaf/hard of hearing program for Oswego-based School District 308. In that role, she evaluated staff members, balanced the needs of individual students and worked in partnership with outside districts to place students, according to West Aurora officials.

Renz brings another six years of special education leadership experience to her new role, having served as the program administrator for the deaf/hard of hearing program as well as the special education program administrator in District 308.

Her classroom experience includes having been a hearing itinerant teacher in Elgin Area School District U-46 and a special education teacher in Batavia School District 101.

Freise has been employed as the network administrator in Hinsdale Township High School District 86 for the past three years. Some of his accomplishments there have included the expansion and optimization of the network design and enhancement of the firewall system in order to provide secure remote access to staff, according to officials.

Freise previously was a network analyst for Batavia School District 101 for 10 years.
