You heard it here first, Chicago White Sox manager Tony LaRussa will step down before the month is over. This has absolutely nothing to do with his long-lost managerial ability, but more to do with all the happy hours he’s missing by all the day games interference.

In response to Burbank’s comment about the Jan. 6 committee not being nonpartisan, it was stated Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney are not Republicans. Of course we know this is false. If you remember when the committee was formed, Trump’s finger puppet Kevin McCarthy offered up Jim Banks, Jim Jordan, Kelly Armstrong and Troy Nehls. If you remember, three of these four people voted against certifying the election which they knew was not stolen. So the committee rejected these picks knowing they would not be impartial.

I visited the Homewood Acres volunteer Fire Department and saw the damage caused. As a former volunteer firefighter in another suburb, it saddened me. I hope the judge that handles the vandals’ cases provides just punishment. In my opinion, those parents should make those that caused such extensive damage spend every day cleaning and repainting the property. There should be consequences to their disgusting behavior.

I find it hypocritical that firearms are banned at government facilities but not universally banned everywhere else. The right to bear arms does not give you the right to buy whatever firearm you like or the right to use as you please. Background checks coupled with a total ban on all assault style firearms as well as an ironclad mandatory 15-year prison sentence for use of any firearm during the commission of any crime will go a long way to reducing gun violence and perhaps reduction of other crimes as well.
