A familiar face has been named principal of Prairie Point Elementary School in Oswego for the new school year.

The District 308 School Board recently approved the hiring of Noelle Fahey as principal of Prairie Point Elementary School for the 2022-23 school year.

Fahey will replace Jennifer Grove, who has accepted the principal position at the school district’s Brokaw Early Learning Center, district officials said.

Fahey is currently the assistant principal at Prairie Point, a position she has held since 2017.  She previously was a fifth-grade teacher for 10 years in Yorkville School District 115.

“It has been my great privilege to have served as the proud assistant principal since 2017 and I look forward to continuing to support and to develop the strengths and talents of our staff and students,” Fahey said in a statement about her becoming Prairie Point’s new principal.

Fahey received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Northern Illinois University.
