I thought it was funny when Tom Dart was just on the radio saying he’s going to make it harder to buy ammunition because the Republicans are totally owned by the NRA and their bought and paid for. That’s those were his words. What he doesn’t realize is that most of the high crime cities are in democratic-run municipalities, and he’s a Democrat but he didn’t bring that up. Maybe you should look at some of the policies of Kim Fox

Tom, Burbank.

Did it ever occur to you that Chicago residents went out of state to purchase the guns because other states have little or no restrictions on the purchases? Put the blame on those states.

Mark, Orland Park

I would like to know why the village of Orland Park sends out two to three trucks a week with two to three workers in each truck to look at the same hole that’s been there for 2 to 3 months I don’t understand it.

Mike from Orland Park

It’s mind boggling to think how much time and money Congress continues to spend investigating one man. How one mistake by American voters can lead to so much waste. I am quite sure Donald Trump continues to enjoy all the attention.

MJ from Worth

When the government takes the guns away, the criminals will replace them with machetes and hatchets.

Paul, Mount Greenwood

Here’s proof of Illinois’ leadership stupidity. The Democratic Party of Illinois keeps mailing us campaign literature saying Darren Clark is too conservative for Illinois. They say he supports Trump, opposes all gun control and is 100% pro life. Democrat leadership has led us to where we are now since 1935. More reason to vote for any conservative.

RHS, Oak Forest

If the Democrats are “doing everything they can to attack inflation,” is that not the best indication that they need to be voted out of office? And ones not up for election should resign for their incompetence because one first step would be to reverse actions taken because Trump put it in place.

David, Tinley Park

In a culture of blaming something or someone else for just about everything, it’s no surprise all the woes and evils we’re experiencing are blamed on mental health and the pandemic. It couldn’t possibly be any of our doing.

Mary, Tinley Park
