Multiple states are banning the teaching of critical race theory because lawmakers do not want little Johnny or Jane to feel guilty because of their race! Well I think great replacement theory is causing more guilt based on how many innocent people have been murdered following this idiotic theory!

Gun rights supporters keep using the tired old troupe that the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. But who decides who’s a good guy? What about good guys with guns who stand around while kids are being shot? Law-abiding citizens with guns are law abiding, until they’re not. Sane people with guns are sane, until they’re not. If the Founding Fathers who crafted the Second Amendment before there were standing armies and before standing police forces saw how their amendment has played out today they would vomit.

Lots of people are commenting on gun control because of Uvaldes’ mass shooting. There is absolutely no reason that an 18-year-old should have an AK type of rifle. Let’s raise the age to 21 and do better background checks that include checking any people with psychological issues. I am a gun owner too. But many Republicans stand up for whomever gives them the most donations in their coffers.

OK, you Republican Trump supporters out there, will somebody please explain to me why we cannot have an all-out ban on assault weapons. Republicans not only don’t support that but they don’t even support raising the age from 18 to 21 for people to be able to purchase such a horrible military weapon. Someone please explain this to me. What is their big objection? Why do they feel these assault weapons are so necessary?

Jeri from Tinley Park made a comment about these politicians giving themselves raises during this economic crisis. I agree. But what you always fails to mention is most of them are Democrats. We are paying more for gas than ever in my lifetime. Have you seen your gas bill lately? Have you ever even thought of buying a new car even if one was available? All of this is done by the Democrats. We better wake up soon.
