Step up to the plate
We should make it very clear to Mr. Putin that if he continues this mess, we’re going to take him out, and if he drops a weapon on those people we will destroy him. Come on President Biden and the Congress, step up to the plate. I voted for this administration, and I will vote for them again because they are so much better than the sad people on the Republican side. Not the Republicans of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. Today’s Republican Party is a disaster. That being said, I want this country to step up to the plate and if the rest of the world doesn’t follow us, we’ll do it on our own.
Near hernia
I almost got a hernia laughing: A typical Republican calls in and says Nixon was framed. Now, that tells you where their intelligence level is.
Hurrah
I think the new remodeled Starbucks in Waukegan is fabulous. What a fabulous location. Remodeled. And I see it’s dedicated to our military personnel, the people that protect our freedom. Hurrah for Starbucks for taking a stand, dedicating this to our military people. Love you Starbucks. I don’t care for the prices, but I love the idea.
No better than the KGB
Even the FBI has been compromised. Do you really think the American people are going to believe anything that the FBI says anymore? I don’t think so. You’re no better than the KGB of Russia.
Come on, folks
When do I get reimbursement for putting my daughter through college and paying for it all? I’m the mother of a previous student from Bradley University, and I’m waiting for a rebate of some sort. Come on, folks. Why are we obligated to pay these loans that these young people sign a promissory note to pay it all back. I am not here to pay somebody else’s debt so they can get paid to afford Teslas, Coach bags and expensive shoes. I make due with the minimal and believe in being debt-free.
Not going to happen
Here we go again. Waukegan’s lakefront and downtown coming together. Really? They’ve been coming together for 40 or 50 years. A vision of mixed-use development exists, so officials are talking about a methodical approach. Good. They’ve been talking about a methodical approach for years and years. There could be a mixture of this and that. Yes, there could be. Those who would want a luxury apartment would never choose Waukegan. Very poor schools, huge crime rate. I’ve heard this story before. It ain’t going to happen. I’m not going to hold my breath, or even keep my fingers crossed.
