Russian butchers
While Putin’s Russian troops are committing war crimes and atrocities across Ukraine, he and his government are lying about ousting a “Nazi” government. The Russian military claims photographs of butchery are staged. And many Russian people believe them. It is imperative that our leaders tell their citizens the truth. FDR warned Americans of the hardships they would be facing during World War II. Trump is now blaming Nancy Pelosi for the insurrection. He still falsely claims election fraud. And many Americans believe him. The truth matters. And there is only one truth. Why do 63 Republicans back these Russian butchers instead of NATO?
No missing logs
I see that a recent contributor to this column still believes the fairy tale about missing White House phone logs. That’s not surprising. NPR, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times and all the legacy media headlined this fabrication. Of course, they have little interest in Hunter Biden and the possibility that “the big guy” raked in big money inappropriately from other countries. If you Google “missing phone logs,” you’ll find dozens of news stories comparing those “missing phone logs” to the Nixon tape gap during Watergate. What’s hard to find are the more accurate stories, the ones the mainstream media buried in their daily news, the stories that finally explain that there are no missing logs. CNN “explained” all of this last week, but as Simon and Garfunkel once said, “Man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.”
Remember the victims
Major, front page story about the school to prison pipeline leaves out a key player, the victim. Total focus on the article is responding to the needs of the doer of the crime. Maybe in schools we don’t call altercations crimes, but ask the victim. What we have is a total cultural breakdown. Push for more responsibility? No. Instead, we ask questions about what you had for breakfast. How can we reward you? So much money spent and wasted on meetings and task forces. Let’s blame COVID. Respect for the victim. Totally.
Enjoy our diversity
Human beings originated in Africa, evolving for millions of years, spreading throughout the Earth in search of same stuff we all do. Food, shelter, overpopulation. Earth’s climates are varied, which affects our skin color, stature and many things. The Native Americans crossed the land bridge (Aleutian Islands) and spread thru our north, middle and southern continent. Spanish trade ships brought the first slaves from Africa to the USA. We’re all related, have a purpose, are needed, have value and are the spices of human life. Enjoy our diversity. I do.
You pigs
What is it with all these alcoholics trashing our neighborhoods with their discarded booze bottles and cans? Broken glass and cans everywhere. This isn’t a Third World country, you pigs. Or is it? Good grief.
Biden owns this crisis
To the person who wrote “You Are A Failure”: If you can’t pay double the gas prices, and pay more for goods and food since Biden took office, you are wrong about calling them “failures.” There are a lot of people on fixed income, like senior citizens, who are not failures but just trying to make ends meet. This also includes those who are in lower-paying jobs and those working part-time. These people are not failures. You are a failure for your terrible opinion on Biden’s gas prices, which he caused along with the inflation that he and the government caused by printing money and spending it. Biden owns this crisis. And you calling people failures is cowardice on your part.
Lots of lots

Mayor Taylor wants downtown development in Waukegan to include parking. Hasn’t she seen all those parking garages and lots no one uses now? Another parking garage is the last thing Waukegan needs. I like Mayor Taylor, but think she may be off on this one. More importantly, has the city told potential developers of the hazardous waste cleanup needed along Genesee Street from a former dry cleaners?
