COVID the cause
To the 77-year-old who’s falling into the sheeple line, blaming Biden for the economic situation: This recession started due to COVID, and the way the buffoon we had as a sitting president before Biden handled it. The entire world has suffered a recession due to COVID. So to blame Biden is just ridiculous. World situations cause the direction of the economy and everything involved in that, including gas prices, not the sitting president. How they handle those situations does have some impact in the end, but they’re not the cause of it. I’m not a supporter of Biden, but he was a better choice than Trump. I chose the good apple over the rotten one. I’d like to see some fresh, new, younger candidates for our next election. Time to say goodbye to both Biden and Trump.
Comic relief
More Top Picks Best Night Lights For Seniors
I learned from the “Garfield” comic strip that April 4 was Tell a Lie Day. I didn’t know if it was true or not, so I asked my wife. She went on the computer and sure enough, it was as long as it was not a big lie, they say. So, my wife immediately said, “Joe Biden is a good president.” Which made me start laughing. Hillary Clinton said the same thing last week. I guess she was ahead of the curve. After all, she’s been known as a congenital liar. I guess with Democrats, April 4 should be “Tell the Truth Day,” because maybe you’d get one statement out of them that day that was actually truthful.
Thanks ‘losers’
I would like to thank the millions of people the loser called failures the other day, and considers the price of gas doubling in the past year minimal. I understand that my life could not be the way it is without all of you so called failures. I am eternally grateful for all of you.
Too much sex talk
About the article in your paper regarding Transgender Day: To all parents and grandparents, be aware of what our schools and some lawmakers are doing to our children by pushing this transgender idea into our children’s minds. They start as young as kindergarten, and push these agendas on them, also telling them that they can either be a boy or a girl, whatever they choose. Children in preschool do not even think of such nonsense. They know what they are, and just let life lessons naturally work until adulthood. Educators are also teaching sex to preschoolers. This is going on in our whole country. It’s time for us as parents to fight the schools that teach this nonsense and make them go back to teaching reading, writing and arithmetic. The teachers and politicians are not here to be parents. Also bring back discipline to teach right from wrong. You see what is going on throughout our country. When you think about, it’s very sad.
Conflict of interest
Ann Taylor was elected to serve as mayor under a City Charter-mandated, strong mayor/council form of municipal government. But she has a conflict of interest as she serves. Taylor has publicly stated that her goal is to change Waukegan to the city manager form, and reduce the mayor’s role to a ceremonial, influencer role, where she can be out among and advocating for her people. Kind of like the queen of England. She surely knows that the only way to effect the change under Illinois statute is through a direct referendum to let the voters choose. To resolve her conflict of interest, Taylor should resign as mayor and consider becoming the full-time leader and advocate of her people to get the city manager issue on the ballot. Speaking as a longtime advocate of the change, that is the only real way to make sure that there is long-term continuity of policy and strategy for the city of Waukegan.
Conservative values
So RINOs Collins, Murkowski and Romney vote for a far-left, liberal justice who does not know what a woman is. Looks like Murkowski is already in trouble, but Collins and Romney also need to be primaried out of office. They can never be trusted to follow conservative values.
