No reparations mentioned

The president’s speech was OK, but there were some things that I disagree with. He never did mention reparations for African Americans, and I was really disappointed in that. I saw Congresswoman Sheila Lee Jackson who had the deal HB40, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is scared to bring it to the floor. This needs to be done. I was very disappointed that reparations were not brought up.

Replace the clown

Will the woman governor of Iowa please run for president of the United States and replace the clown that’s in office now.

Unavailable mayor

I am very disappointed in the mayor of Waukegan, Illinois. Mayor Taylor is the worst thing that’s ever happened to Waukegan. She’s the first woman, and she has really not made herself available to the people of Waukegan. We need to get rid of her, and hopefully somebody new will run.

My fool

This is to the fact-challenged Republican who called in about a month ago and said the Republicans never got rid of the filibuster. You are sadly misinformed, my fool.

Take the time to talk

I should have called sooner. This isn’t about COVID, and it’s not about overseas. This is about the medical profession. I’m a senior citizen who never had to really go to doctors. But, I’ll tell you one thing, I don’t care which place you go to, they have got to change their rapidity to get you in and get you out. There is so much going on, it is overwhelming for seniors to have to go to physicians today. If you’ve got a good one who understands seniors, great. The medical department, you’re all in a rush to get people in, get them out. You don’t take the time to talk to them and explain things. We may be old, but we still understand if you speak slowly, etc. Now I’ve let it all out.

Drop the gas taxes

The Lake County Board members and the Democrats with their supermajority in the legislature could do all of us a favor by doing away with the automatic tax increase statewide on gasoline. Drop the sales tax on gasoline, of which we are one of the few states with said tax. These taxes affect every aspect of our economy. Pritzker and the superwealthy don’t notice the above, and could care less about our struggles to make ends meet.
