Here’s a thought: Sanctions against Russia need to be strong enough to impact Putin and the Russian economy. One right move is to discontinue Russian oil imports. The big issue is the increase in gasoline pricing to us as consumers. The two strategies of 1) releasing additional oil reserves, and 2) suspending federal gasoline taxes may have a minor impact. How about the major gasoline producing companies get in the game by making a major effort in stabilizing prices by taking a major temporary reduction in profitability until aggressive action by Russia stops?
Greed is bad: Despite Gordon Gekko’s words that greed is good, it’s singularly bad for baseball. And the quicker both sides of the current lockout realize this the sooner “play ball!” will be heard all across America.
Mythological beliefs: There is a stubborn group that supports Trump’s accusation of a corrupt 2020 election yet having zero proof. Do they really believe something this big could have been covered-up without a trace? Trusting his mythical accusation is loyalty not honesty!
Barr not saying much: As an apologist Bill Barr leaves a lot to be desired but then he was a lousy attorney general too.
Congressional hecklers: Regarding President Biden’s State of the Union Address. When the two low-class Republicans, Boebert and Greene, heckled him during his address, why weren’t they removed from the room? These two are an embarrassment.
Giving credit where it’s due: After the dismal State of the Union address by Joe Biden, I might suggest a huge order of Prevagen to unclog his foggy and challenged memory. In just 14 months, he and his leftist agenda administration have left American interests in dead last. On the other hand, under Donald Trump we were safer, better off financially, less taxed, less regulated and certainly less mandated. In other words, we were freer, safer and prouder as American citizens. Please give No. 45 the credit he deserves.
True patriots: Geographically, North America has never had to experience true danger like Ukraine. Their leaders, like their President Zelenskyy and Kyiv’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko, are true patriots who are willing to fight and possibly die for and with its citizens to protect their freedom from tyrant Putin. I doubt that any of our elected political leaders would be willing to do the same.
