Good grief
That sure was quick, with the old folks complaining about the Super Bowl halftime show. I’m old too and don’t care for rap music, so I didn’t bother watching, myself. Times have changed, so the elders just need to sit back, stop complaining and let it go. Remember your parents didn’t like your music either. Don’t be so quick to complain all the time. Maybe next year they will have opera for your listening ears. Good grief.
Not a supporter of either
The Genesee Theatre is a taxpayer-owned public venue. If Bill O’Reilly or Luis Farrakhan is hosting an event there, I will not be in attendance. I am not a supporter of either. It’s called freedom of choice.
Cut the head off the top
I would like to know who, besides the U.S., is going to help Ukraine. It always seems like we’re jumping in to help other countries, but I never hear about any other country helping. I thought it was the United Nations, but I’d like to know who else is supposed to be helping. The best thing would be to cut the head off at the top and the rest will follow.
Go to another country
It used to be that protesting was a right, but now I think they need to take it away because we’ve got all these idiots out there protesting the dumbest things, from the mandates on the masks to getting the vaccine. I mean, if they want to kill themselves, that’s fine. Just let them kill themselves. They stand out there like a bunch of idiots. I mean, these truckers in Canada, what a joke. If that was me, I’d either tow them away or blow them up. One of the two. They’re creating havoc on the roadways. This is tearing the country apart for no reason. If they don’t like it, then go to another country.
Just the facts
I love the Talk of the County. There’s the guy with the ignorant statements with not a fact to be found. My friend, you should turn the page in the paper and read the whole paper. Talk of the County is on Page 2. Turn a few pages. You want some facts. Here’s Trump trashing war hero John McCain. Here’s Trump and a tape with crude language about women. Here’s Trump declaring he won an election he clearly lost, and making unproven allegations of fraud. That is a fact. Firing up a crowd that invaded the U.S. Capitol, that’s a fact. Disclosures he took classified papers home to Florida. That’s a fact. There are some facts for you, my friend.
Proud Republican
This is in reply to the person who called in with the topic, “Enemy of American democracy.” All I can say is, don’t worry about American democracy. You keep voting Democrat, and you’re not going to have a country. So, don’t even worry about your democracy. You better get out there and vote Republican. Signed, proud Republican.
Fix this problem now
I just want to address what is going on at the Waukegan water department, I’m getting a bill one day after it’s due. I haven’t even gotten a bill yet and it’s due. What is happening? Someone in that water department needs to fix this ASAP, and I mean like yesterday. Mayor Taylor, fix this problem now.
