Shame on Germany: I am of German ancestry. I am ashamed at my ancestral country’s behavior regarding the crisis in Ukraine. As a Western-style democracy, Germany should be a staunch ally of the West and the USA, specifically. Why would they make over 40% of their energy needs dependent on Russia? They could buy natural gas from the U.S. if they wanted. They don’t pay their proper share of their GNP to NATO, they don’t, by law, field a real army, so they rely on other NATO partners for defense. With Biden’s closing of the Keystone XL pipeline and restricting drilling and fracking in the U.S., we are importing oil from Russia.
Boycott the NBA: NBA’s Enes Freedom loves the USA and is very vocal against China. Suddenly he’s got no team. He’s fired because he loves his freedom. Evidently the NBA cares more about its ties to China more than our freedoms here. Boycott the NBA.

Operating in ignorance: I’m sure Whoopi Goldberg didn’t intentionally make offensive remarks about the Holocaust. The truth is, Goldberg is not really the best choice to be moderator of that show. She may be a good comedian, but you also have to be well-versed in many past and current topics, and she’s not. She sometimes goes on and on, and when she’s done, I scratch my head and wonder what she said.

Last year’s Super Bowl show worse: I agree with the previous comment about the halftime show for the Super Bowl. But I can the only one that was worse was last year’s with Jennifer Lopez, which was the most disgusting, sexist show I ever saw on TV. Why bother wearing any clothes ever? And they thought Janet Jackson’s was bad? I don’t think so.
