Political choice: It’s hardly a surprise that a 15-year-old Russian Olympian was allowed to compete (in spite of serious doping charges) considering the Chinese would much prefer to deal with a few unhappy ice skating fans than an irate Vladimir Putin.
Hell-bent on destruction: Legitimate political discourse on Jan. 6 2021? Yeah, right. I’m a lifelong Republican but this just makes me sick. Why is the Republican National Committee intent on destroying the Republican Party?
Lousy show: The halftime show at the Super Bowl was a super disgrace.
Time victims: Like so many other NFL playoff games this year, Cincinnati didn’t lose the Super Bowl, they just ran out of time.

Time to grow up: I remember reading in a Murphy bed with my mother at 5 years old and trying to sound out words in the Reader’s Digest. I asked what is s-e-x? She answered, the difference between men and women. How is the ad for Peyronie’s disease (bent carrot ad) any different from seeing ads for women’s metastatic breast cancer or ads for both men and women who suffer from Parkinson’s disease. Peyronie’s disease is extremely painful and I think that many men, because of embarrassment or fear, suffer in silence. I think this ad is a Godsend.
Snow bad for pedestrians: When there is a chance of snow, TV and radio people seem to get all excited about the traffic conditions and snowplows. The forgotten people seem to be the ones who don’t drive so they have to walk and/or take public transportation. This is bad enough in good weather, let alone in a snowstorm. Bus riders have to stand next to snow drifts created by snowplows in order to catch the bus. This is a big deal compared to driving in a nice warm car.
Convoy kills freedom: The Freedom Truck convoy goes to the top of the list for most egregious misnomers. The disruptive and paralyzing truck blockade/demonstration in Canada denied Canadians the freedom to travel, work, sustain their businesses and generally live their lives as safely as possible during the pandemic. Strange that flags and symbols of the Confederacy and Nazism have been displayed by some of the truckers, symbols antithetical to freedom and democracy. Then again, given the folks behind the demonstration, not so strange.
