A terrible, terrible racket
Whatever happened to the halftime show, which used to be so entertaining at the Super Bowl? Sunday’s was so awful. I turned on something else until I was sure it was over. With all the entertainers there are in the business, that was the best they could come up with? A bunch of rappers, shouting unintelligible words, guitars and a piano banging away. What a terrible, terrible racket. Why can’t the people who put these things together plan something that appeals to many age groups. It was a good game though, and enjoyable to watch such a close matchup. Unfortunately, that halftime show stunk it up.
Fascist mandates
It is so exciting to see the strong impact that the Canada Freedom Convoy is having on the world. Now there are convoys in Europe, Australia and United States. Because of their solidarity, the authoritarian left governments are backing down on their mandates. Keep up the fight and stand firm against these fascist mandates.
Remove the laws from the books
If communities do not attempt to enforce laws such as overly tinted windows, loud exhaust or load car music, why not remove the laws from the books? Gobs of money could be made off these laws, not to mention speeding.
Enjoy your retirement
Chief Walles, you had a good run and it’s high-time for you to enjoy your retirement. There have been a lot of changes in the 29 years you’ve been on the job, so it’s probably a good time for you to retire. Twenty-nine years is a long time to serve Waukegan. There are folks who probably should retire after 19 years of service to this community. Good job Mayor Taylor in updating the Waukegan police department. Keep up the good work.
Enemy of American democracy
I’m not really a Biden fan, but he continues to be the far lesser of two evils. Please remember this, kids: If anybody still supports Trump after Jan 6, 2021, they are and will remain unpatriotic, anti-American, seditionists. It really is that simple. If you still support Trump, you are the enemy of American democracy.
