So, Sleepy Joe Biden stated that he exceeded expectations during his first year in office. I have to completely agree with that statement, because I expected him to be a dismal failure, and he far exceeded my expectations.
Irate Waukegan citizen
Is the city of Waukegan, especially the water department, forcing late fees as their new revenue source? This is the second month in a row that I have received a water bill with three days or less until the due date, therefore incurring a late fee. Your form even states that pay-by-phone takes at least 72 hours — cha-ching, late fee. I resent paying this fee when I am not at fault. Please correct your procedure. This is from an irate Waukegan citizen.
Ignorant statements with not a fact to be found
I love the Talk of the County section, especially a recent edition. There were six contributors. Three of them were by leftist Democrats, two were neutral and one was by a conservative. The three entries by the leftist Democrats were name-calling, ignorant statements with not a fact to be found, except in their own minds. To back up their statements, the two neutral comments made their points short and concise. The conservative entry was backed up with historical facts that could be checked.

I’m very disappointed to see that our Genesee Theatre, a theater that we the taxpayers of Waukegan own, will soon be hosting an evening with Bill O’Reilly. Let’s put politics aside, and just focus on the fact that this is a man who has paid out over $30 million for his mistreatment and sexual harassment of women. It’s shameful. The theater, the mayor and everyone involved should reconsider.
Obvious answer
In a recent Talk of the County, I read one of the contributors’ entries called, “Is anything more stupid?” Hey guys, in this day and age is there anything more stupid than a Republican? The answer is obvious — a Democrat.
