The Slaughter State?

Illinois should have the title of being the Slaughter State. First, it has all the shootings and murders in Chicago. Second, it had 10,000 women come into the state for an abortion last year. J.B. Pritzker signed the approval for the abortions to be allowed in the state. What is the difference between a street killing and a surgical slaughter of a fetus? They are all dead, are they not?

Do we go back to the ’60s?

Well our president has announced his plan for a new justice. What’s your opinion? A selection based on race? He states qualifications. Is it really? This is America. Do we go back to the ’60’s, where it’s about race? Having a president saying it’s about race is not an American value. Other races need not apply. Nothing will ever change if we cannot get around individuals, especially the president, not being an American. For me, this is not what our country is all about. It’s to a point now that commercials, TV, etc. are all about race. We’re going the wrong way and remember you read it hear. What will the result be?

Exodus of people

Pritzker is still a big cause for the exodus of people from this once great state, and will continue to be so as long as he is in office. That means fewer people paying taxes, meaning taxes have to continue to go up for those that have so far remained.

What were you saying?

Are you still using a rotary dial phone, a dial to change TV channels, paying with cash, using telegraph or smoke signals to send messages, and handwriting notes? Teleprompters are used now, for your information. FDR was in a wheelchair due to polio he got at age 39 before the polio vaccine. John F. Kennedy had too many health issues to list. Ronald Reagan had Alzheimer’s while president. What were you saying about Joe Biden?

Stop the spread of misinformation

Following up on a recent Talk of the County item. The writer is calling for all the published items to be signed, and the hometown of the writer included. Better yet, would be to drop the column? Newspapers are working hard to improve their image, and prevent the spread of misinformation. By publishing Talk of the County with its sometimes outrageous comments, the News Sun is contributing to this wave of misinformation. A suggestion: expand the Letters to the Editor column, edit tightly and require signatures. Stop the spread of misinformation.

For protection and safety

Just noticed a picture in the paper of anti-mandate, anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers protesting in Highland Park. In the middle of the protesters was a man wearing a mask. Why would he wear a mask? For protection and safety.
