Do as I say, not as I do: Marjorie Taylor Greene, the half-witted congresswomen from Georgia, has suggested that Democrats moving to red states should undergo a “cooling off” period before they’re allowed to vote. How ironic is that coming from someone who should be required by law to think before she speaks.
Coup incited without proof: Be aware of the significance of the Jan. 6 coup but keep in mind that there is no denying that there was ever proof of mass voter fraud. How shameful of the concerted effort that Donald Trump and others made in attempting to manipulate the Constitution approval of the election results. I can’t help but wonder about the ethics of you who approve this behavior?
Check cards, close borders: I do believe they should check everybody’s COVID-19 card because there are so many people in their 30s and young 40s that refuse to get vaccinated. Show proof of your vaccination card. Pretty soon they’re going to be selling false vaccination cards online. But I also do believe this government, the United States, should close the borders. Do not allow people to go to Africa or Europe. Stay in your own country so we can contain this pandemic.
Firing gun broke law: Sen. Lightford and her husband were carjacked last week. The senator’s husband is a concealed carry holder. As the offenders were driving away, apparently the husband began shooting at them. I guess because she is a state official, he is exempt from being charged with unlawful discharge of a weapon.
No shots, no benefits: If the government can force its employees and contract workers to get vaccinated or get tested, why don’t they do the same to those seeking unemployment, welfare, housing benefits? Why doesn’t Cook County withhold government subsidies unless the recipients can show proof of vaccination or negative test results?
Do I laugh or cry? I didn’t know whether to laugh or shudder at the absolutely ridiculous notion of Trump becoming speaker of the House. Didn’t he do enough damage as president with his divisive rhetoric and lying, not to mention an attempted political coup. I believe this country is tired of his oafish buffoonery and he’s finished politically.
