One teen was killed and four others were injured in a Skokie crash over the weekend.

On Sunday around 11:30 p.m., Skokie police responded to a report of a traffic crash at the intersection of Main Street and East Prairie Road. When officers arrived, they found find a single vehicle had crashed into a tree at 8350 East Prairie Road, according to a news release.

Dilan Durakovic, 19, of Skokie, was transported by the Skokie Fire Department to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. Three other teens and the driver of the vehicle were also transported to hospitals for treatment.

Police said their initial investigation indicates that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash but no charges have been filed as of Tuesday. 

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing police said Tuesday. The North Regional Major Crimes Task Force Major Crash Assistance Team is assisting the Skokie Police Department with the investigation.
