Evanston Public Library has expanded their public services hours in both the main library and the Robert Crown branch library. The changes will take effect Sept. 7.

The library will be open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

These changes were approved by the Evanston Public Library Board of Trustees on Aug. 18.

Evanston Public Library also plans to launch “open+” hours, or additional self-service hours at the Robert Crown Library, later in the fall. These hours will run Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and Friday to Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Additionally, use of meeting rooms will resume at both locations on this date. Patrons must reserve the space and maintain social distancing. Each meeting room has a maximum number of patrons based on the six feet of distance suggested by the health department.

Additional information from the library will be announced in the coming days.
