Police are continuing to investigate the June 29 fatal shooting of a man in Glenview.
Officers responded to a report of a man down near the 10300 block of Michael Todd Terrace shortly before 3 a.m. on June 29. They discovered a 41-year-old man in the street with gunshot wounds, a spokesperson with the Cook County Sheriff’s office said Friday.
Cook County sheriff’s officers are investigating the death because it happened in unincorporated Cook County and not within Glenview village limits.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office said the man died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled the death a homicide.
Authorities declined to identify the man, said there has yet to be an arrest in the case and that their investigation is ongoing.
They also said they believe the man was targeted and that there is not a threat to the larger community.
