Lock them up
To the person who wrote “Anyone agree?” Yes, as a former Republican and now an independent (though this should not matter), we wholeheartedly agree. Though everyone deserves a right to an expedient trial, these individuals harmed many and tried to kill our democratic process and Constitution. By rioters attacking the Capitol, they are no longer seen as Americans, but as animals with no regard for human life or decency. They should all stay in prison. Let me be clear here, we are not talking about the peaceful Trump protesters, just the rioters who stormed our democracy. Rioting from any group is criminal and wrong, and should be prosecuted to the full extend of the law. Lock them up.
Don’t study and graduate
The graduation points of Waukegan High School have been dropped from 22 to 17.5. This is really good for the students that don’t study. Maybe we should have a graduation for the students that can throw a football or bounce a basketball. They deserve a graduation also.
How heartless
You wonder why BLM doesn’t demonstrate when a young Black girl is shot and killed in a drive-by shooting? How heartless of you. BLM is a movement that works to expose and reduce racism in America. Why would they protest the tragic death of a Black child without any ties to racism?
Did the county fix problem?
So, I see the county had to shell out $600K because “Retaliatory Robin” was so thin-skinned that she was unable to take feedback and admit that her department was doing something wrong, perhaps even criminal? Furthermore, if there was something going on that was dirty, was it ever fixed? Yeah, the county paid the whistleblowers for being improperly terminated, but did the county fix the actual problem internally?
Delaney Road Raceway
When are the Lake County sheriff and local law enforcement agencies going to do something about the Delany Road Raceway? I’m not talking about commuter traffic traveling too fast during the daytime. I’m talking about the street racing that takes place from Sunset Road to Route 173. This is a persistent problem, with cars traveling in excess of 80 mph, and cars racing each other back and forth. They race north. They race south. The same cars over and over. Nothing is done. Do these people have to kill innocent drivers before law enforcement pays any attention?
Not a true believing church
After reading the article about St Paul’s Lutheran church becoming a Reconciling in Christ community, I was assured that they are not a true believing church. It is admirable that they want to reach out to a diverse community, however if they are not preaching the whole Bible, including “clobber verses” that make people feel uncomfortable about their lifestyle, they are not following Christ. Christ put those verses in the Bible for a purpose, to set boundaries for proper living.
