A 25-year-old Calumet City man was found shot to death last week inside a vehicle on the block where he lived, police said.
Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue at 3:14 a.m. Thursday and found the man sitting in the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, police said in a statement.
The man, identified as Kyle Dean, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cook County medical examiner’s office ruled Dean’s death a homicide.
Calumet City police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating, but have not released any additional information about the fatal shooting.
“We’re still gathering leads,” police Chief Christopher Fletcher said Monday.
