A 15-year-old girl was fatally shot inside her Sauk Village home last week by a male relative, police said.

Jazzlyn Robinson was shot in the head shortly before 9 p.m. June 4 at her home in the 2000 block of 218th Street and died Friday afternoon at Comer Children’s Hospital in Chicago, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Sauk Village police Chief Malcolm White said the suspect left before officers arrived.

He said police were seeking a warrant for the man’s arrest, but wouldn’t share any more information about the shooting or the suspect.

Police are in the process of interviewing several people who witnessed the shooting, White said.
