Occupation: Director of the museum of the Obama Presidential Center
How do you make sure the museum of the first presidential center in Chicago is world class? You ask Bernard — who helped develop the exhibition plans for D.C.’s acclaimed National Museum of African American History and Culture — to be the founding director. When the Obama Presidential Center finally rises from Jackson Park, it will be Bernard’s vision, experience, and clarity that shape its public face.
