Donna More grew up in Evanston and as a teenager accompanied her father to the criminal court building to watch him argue cases. More credits that experience with helping her decide to become an attorney like her father. Four years ago, More challenged then-Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez and the current incumbent, Kim Foxx, in the Democratic primary. She is a former general counsel for the Illinois Gaming Board. Now, More says she wants the position because she brings legal credentials, felony trial experience and independence to the office.
