
At this time last year, Bob Fioretti was campaigning to become the mayor of Chicago. The former alderman is no stranger to running for office. He ran unsuccessfully for mayor in 2015, state Senate in 2016 and for Cook County Board president in 2018. Fioretti says he’s unphased by the losses. “Some ask why do I run? The answer is obvious,” he said in answering a questionnaire. “Change is needed. I believe I’m the person who can best bring about that change.”
