A male was shot in the Grand Crossing neighborhood Wednesday morning, according to preliminary reports, Chicago police said.
Officers were called around 11:30 a.m. to the area of 1400 E. 69th St. for a report of a person shot, a police spokeswoman said. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, according to the Chicago Fire Department. He suffered a gunshot wound to the rib area.
The male’s age and condition were not immediately available.
