Elle Jashnani, and 11-year-old fifth grader is leaving her mark during her final year at The Lane School in Hinsdale after initiating the start of a newspaper club. The online editions are distributed once or twice a month.
Q: Why did you want to start a newspaper club at your school?
A: I thought it would be a good way for new kids to get to know more about everything and for other kids to write about themselves if they want.

A: Vacation places or just having fun with others

A: Math
Q: What do you think you want to do when you grow up?
A: Probably be a veterinarian. I love animals, and I don’t like to see animals get hurt.

A: Cheerleading and volleyball, and I like art. I do water colors.
Q: Have you lived in Hinsdale your entire life?
A: No, we moved here from New Jersey when I was 5, just before I started kindergarten.
Q: Do you have any siblings?
A: Two brothers, Rohan, who is 8, and Xavier, 12.
Q: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
A: When my mom make me clean my room, and then I can’t find anything.
