On Monday, Stage Left Theatre announced that plans for any 2018-19 mainstage programming are on hold.

According to the company, the pause comes amid a major leadership change. Stage Left’s co-artistic directors Jason A. Fleece and Amy Szerlong, as well as co-literary manager Zev Valancy, have left their positions as of Monday.

“I think we can all agree that this is a challenging atmosphere for arts organizations across the sector, and Stage Left is no different,” Stage Left board member Marcey Abramovitz said in a statement. “While we take a moment to explore new models and opportunities for the company and focus on our leadership search we also look forward to some exciting fundraising initiatives and a forthcoming programming announcement for later this spring.”

According to Stage Left, company operations will be maintained by the company’s board, 10-member ensemble, and 17 artistic associates during the restructuring.
