Orlando Science Center will once again make a toast to the juice of the vine with its Science of Wine event. The benefit, featuring 150 global wines plus food from 30 restaurants, will be held April 28.

All food and wine is included with general admission to the event at the Loch Haven museum. Tickets are $125 and are on sale now at osc.org/wine. (It’s $100 per ticket for science center members.) Hours for the event are 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Culinary partners from Central Florida include Taverna Opa, Hawkers, Tapa Toro, Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen, Yak & Yeti Restaurant, ShinJung, Black Rooster Taqueria, Norman’s New World Cuisine, Something Fishy and others.

In addition to wine tasting, the evening includes wine-related demonstrations and seminars.

There will be a wine seminar led by Julie Pepi, CSW Director for Fine Wine in Florida for Trinchero Family Estates; and a cooking demonstration with Swine & Sons Provisions of Winter Park. Wine seminar and cooking demo tickets are available at an additional $20 per seat; space is limited.

The Science of Wine event raises funds for educational programs.
