The Chicago Bulls are not in the midst of their greatest season. However, the team is in the middle of a great Chicago-centric promotion, so perhaps that helps balance a bit?
During a trio of upcoming games, the Bulls will give away special-edition Bulls hats designed by Illinois artists to the first 10,000 fans. The team partnered with BMO Harris for the promotion, asking six creators to design their own Bulls cap from front to back. Three of those artists — Elias Stein, Shannon Favia, and Chuck Anderson — have already celebrated their promo date, but three more artists remain: Mandy Adamick, JC Rivera and Brandon Breaux.
Rivera and Breaux are particularly notable. Rivera’s grumpy-looking “Bear Champ” figure adorns walls and the sides of buildings all over the city, while Breaux was responsible for designing all three of Chance the Rapper’s mixtape covers.
