I want to the thank the generous, kindhearted, anonymous citizen of Glencoe for considering donating the funds to restore the metal sculpture near the train station. My 5-year-old grandson has enjoyed what he has named “the crash statue” since he was 2 years old. We always stop to look at it and, frequently, he climbs on it. He was sad when I told him that it was being moved but, as an indication of his sweet nature, said, “I know why they are moving the crash statue – so other people will get their turn to see it.”
