While she worked at the St. Giles Catholic School booth at the 44th A Day in Our Village festival June 4 in Scoville Park in Oak Park, Kelly Richard, 43, of Chicago answered a few questions for the Oak Leaves.

Q: What’s your role with St. Giles?

A: I work in the development office, trying to fill seats and boost our enrollment. It’s just a great faith-based community. It’s preschool through eighth grade on the north side of Oak Park. We have almost 500 students.

Q: Favorite warm weather activity?

A: Biking, tennis, just hanging out with my three boys.

Q: Local restaurant of choice?

A: New Rebozo on Madison Street. It’s really good. And the garden is really beautiful.

Q: Last TV show you watched?

A: “America’s Got Talent,” “Amazing Race” — things that I can watch with my boys.

Q: How old are your kids?

A: 14, 11 and 9.

Q: What’s been the most surprising thing about parenthood?

A: Someone once said that the days are long and the years are short, and that’s so true. They grow too fast.

Q: Any travel plans this summer?

A: Pennsylvania, to visit baseball stadiums. My kids play Oak Park baseball.

Q: Are you a Cubs or Sox fan?

A: Cubs.

Q: Where were you when they won the World Series?

A: My living room [laughed]. I used to work at Wrigley Field. It was a good high school job. I was an usher; I took tickets.
