First Team

Kristina Ahlers, Burlington Central, senior, infielder: All-conference shortstop led Rockets with a .488 batting average, .951 slugging percentage, seven homers and 15 stolen bases. Winona State signee had 24 RBIs and scored 38 runs.

Haley Bohne, Larkin, junior, infielder: All-conference shortstop had a .768 slugging percentage with seven homers and 19 extra-base hits. Bohne batted .389, drew 25 walks and struck out only three times. She had 24 RBIs, which was 26 percent of the Royals’ total.

Delaney Devor, St. Charles East, senior, outfielder: A pitcher who also played outfield, she batted .376 with a .594 slugging percentage and had six homers hitting in the second slot. As a pitcher, she was 20-8 with a 2.47 ERA and had 102 strikeouts in 167 innings.

Tiffany Giese, Huntley, junior, pitcher: Giese led the Fox Valley champions with a 27-6 record, 3.25 ERA and 188 strikeouts in a whopping 221 1/3 innings. Wisconsin-Green Bay recruit hit .450 in leadoff spot with a .557 on-base percentage, 51 runs and 39 steals.

Paige Ligocki, St. Charles East, sophomore, utility: All-conference shortstop played first base last year and also catches. Powered 13 home runs and drove in 48 runs while posting a .701 slugging percentage with 20 extra-base hits.

Allie Moberg, St. Charles North, senior, infielder: All-conference first baseman led North Stars to the supersectional. She had six homers and ranked fourth in the Elgin area in RBIs with 45. Batted .394 with a .428 on-base percentage and .687 slugging percentage.

Amber Pagan, Bartlett, junior, infielder: An all-conference shortstop led Bartlett with a .495 batting average. She produced 27 RBIs, three homers and 16 doubles. As a pitcher, she was 9-1 with a 1.93 ERA.

Sydney Ruggles, Dundee-Crown, junior, pitcher: The Elgin area’s leader with 264 strikeouts in 199 2/3 innings, pitching in 33 of the Chargers’ 34 games. All-conference pitcher posted a 20-12 record with a 1.96 ERA while also batting .343 with 21 RBIs.

Delaney Rummell, Hampshire, sophomore, infielder: Illinois recruit came off knee surgery to make all-conference as a shortstop/catcher. She led the Elgin area with a .613 batting average and scored 76 runs. She had 35 RBIs, 10 homers, 20 doubles and nine triples.

Rylee Stout, St. Charles East, senior, catcher: The Courier-News 2017 Softball Player of the Year. All-conference pick had 20 home runs and 72 RBIs. She signed in November with Winona State, then went on to bat .460 with 10 doubles and a slugging percentage of .993.

McKayla Timmons, South Elgin, freshman, infielder: A power-hitting first baseman, she burst onto the scene with team highs of 12 homers and 41 RBIs. Of her 45 hits, 22 went for extra bases. Timmons batted .479 with a .979 slugging percentage.

Jordyn Wolfe, St. Charles North, senior, outfielder: Louisville signee displayed speed to burn and excelled as a slap hitter. She had 27 steals in 29 tries and a .427 batting average while hitting second and in the leadoff spot. She scored 38 runs and drove in 24.
