An armed robbery that sparked a SWAT incident and search in the Logan Square neighborhood has ended with the arrest of a suspect Tuesday night.

Around 4 p.m., the Chicago police SWAT team responded to an incident in the 3200 block of West Diversey Avenue that was sparked by an earlier armed robbery of a business nearby in the 2700 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to a police spokesman, Officer Thomas Sweeney.

Diversey between Kedzie and Spaulding avenues was blocked as officers investigated and searched for the suspect, whom they located about 7:15 p.m., police said.

Charges are pending.

No one was hurt in the armed robbery, which happened about 10:45 a.m., Sweeney said.
