Aurora police Friday said they had not ruled out street gang motivation in shootings Wednesday and Thursday that damaged houses on both sides of the Fox River.

At about 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, several gunshots struck a home on the 900 block of Sard Avenue, on Aurora’s West Side, police said in a statement published to Facebook. Moments before the shots were heard, a newer-model, white Cadillac sedan was seen northbound on Sard, followed by a gray minivan of unknown make or model, police said in the statement. Police said they have no further suspect information.

The next day, at about 9:15 p.m., bullets hit a home on the 200 block of North Ohio Street, on the city’s East Side, police said. After the shots were fired, a white sedan was seen leaving the area southbound on Ohio Street, westbound on Kane and northbound on Smith, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to call Aurora police at 630-256-5500 or Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to any arrests.
