An inmate in custody at the Kendall County Jail on charges out of Cook County has been charged with throwing feces on corrections deputies and damaging jail property.

At about 1:25 p.m. Sunday , Latayuss Curry, 23, of the 6100 block of Rockwell Avenue, Chicago, is accused of throwing fecal matter on deputies and damaging a broom that belongs to the jail, according to a news release from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, which responded to the jail to investigate later that afternoon.

Curry was subsequently charged with aggravated battery to a corrections employee, a class 2 felony, and criminal damage to government property worth less than $500, a class 4 felony, according to charges filed Monday in Kendall County Circuit Court.

Bail for the new charges is set at $100,000, according to Kendall County court records.

When Curry was 21, he was charged with single felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon, home invasion and kidnapping by force or threat of force in connection with accusations that he broke into a home in Chicago’s Chinatown neighborhood and sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman in March 2015, the baiduhai reported.

Cook County jail records indicate he was denied bond in that case and is being housed through an agreement with the Kendall County jail, with a court appearance scheduled for April 19 in the Criminal Courts Building in Chicago.

Curry is also scheduled to appear May 31 in Kendall County on the jail charges.

A sheriff’s office spokesman has not returned messages left Tuesday seeking further information, including when Curry was transferred to Kendall County.
