The following items were taken from the Winnetka and Northfield police department reports and press releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Northfield

Theft

*A business in the 1800 block of Willow Road was burglarized on March 23, and $245 in cash and a flat screen TV were taken, according to police.

*A white iPhone was stolen from a bathroom at New Trier High School, according to a March 24 report. The amount of loss is $400.

Criminal damage

*A section of fence in a condo complex in the 1700 block of Northfield Square was burned, according to a March 23 report. The damage is less than $150.

Fraud

*A business in the 1700 block of Orchard Lane reported on March 17 that it was given a bad check as payment, and payment had not been made despite numerous calls to the Winnetka residence that wrote the check.

Vandalism

*A cable box in the 300 block of Happ Road was knocked over, according to a March 23 report.

Fraud

*A resident of the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue reported on March 21 that his or her personal financial information was used to successfully request a replacement credit card, but the card was not activated. There is no reported loss at this time.
