Illinois State Police responded to a call for an alleged expressway shooting on I-290 westbound near Austin Avenue at 10:48 p.m. Thursday night, officials said.
There were no reported injuries at the scene.
At 2:37 a.m. Friday morning, all lanes I-290 westbound near Austin were closed for an investigation. State police requested Oak Park police assistance in shutting down the ramp. All lanes were re-opened at approximately 5:50 a.m.
The investigation is open and ongoing.
