After having brunch with a friend in downtown Oak Park, Ashley Brown, 31, of Warrenville, stopped to answer a few questions March 5 for the Oak Leaves.

Q: Where did you have brunch?

A: Cozy Corner Breakfast Boutique. We hadn’t been there before, so we thought we’d try something new.

Q: Last book you read?

A: “You are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life,” by Jen Sincero. It was good.

Q: Charity of choice?

A: Cycle for Survival. It’s stationary biking for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Q: Travel destination of choice?

A: Italy. And I just like anywhere there’s mountains in the U.S.

Q: Favorite spring activity?

A: I have a horse, so trail riding.

Q: Any favorite trails?

A: Out in Elburn. It’s nice out there.

Q: What’s your horse’s name?

A: Skyy, with two Y’s. He’s named after the vodka. [laughed] I’ve had him for six years. I’m a big horse person. I grew up with them.

Q: Any other pets?

A: Nope. That’s all I can afford.

Q: Words you live by?

A: Everything happens for a reason.
